I paid my deposit. What's next?

Once we receive your signed agreement and deposit, we’ll create the work orders for your project. Within a few days, you’ll get an email with your general schedule and key contact information. Your Sales Representative will then contact you to review the project details, confirm timelines, and answer any questions you have. If anything else comes up, please reach out directly to your Sales Representative.

Do I need to be home for my project?

Accepted Answer

No, you don’t need to be home during your project. Construction can be loud and disruptive, so we generally recommend that homeowners plan to be away while we work. If you prefer to stay, please minimize time outdoors around the work area for your safety. Be sure we can reach you by phone on installation day in case we have any questions or need your approval.

What is a Pre-Lien Notice?

In Minnesota, state law gives anyone who provides materials or labor the right to file a lien if a homeowner does not pay the remaining balance at the end of a project. This document is not a lien and is not a cause for concern. It is simply a notice explaining that if your balance is not paid, they are legally allowed to file a lien. Once your balance is fully paid, no lien can be filed.

Can debris enter my home?

Yes, some debris may enter your home during a roof installation. Please remove or cover items in uninsulated garages and keep all windows closed. ManePoint Exteriors is not responsible for debris entering through open windows or existing gaps and seals.

Question 7

Will we have a large commercial dumpster on our property for an extended period of time?

Accepted Answer

Whenever possible, ManePoint Exteriors uses low‑profile, driveway‑friendly dump trailers to keep your property disruption to a minimum. We’ll drop the trailer off the night before or the morning your project begins, and remove it as soon as the job is complete.

Do I need to protect anything inside my home?

Accepted Answer

Construction work may cause vibrations. Please remove or securely fasten any hanging items inside your home before work begins. ManePoint Exteriors is not responsible for any items that fall or are damaged inside your home during construction.

Question 9

Can I use my driveway during the project?

Accepted Answer

During your project, we’ll typically use at least half of your driveway for materials and our dump trailer. This setup helps us work efficiently and reduces the risk of damage. Please limit use of the driveway while work is in progress, and let us know in advance if you have any special needs or access requirements.

My project is complete, but there are still materials on my site.

Accepted Answer

We always order extra materials to keep your project on schedule. After your project is finished, we schedule the supplier to pick up any unused materials the same day, though actual pickup may take a few days depending on their availability.

Question 11

Can my grass be damaged by materials?

Accepted Answer

Although we take careful precautions, your grass may show some temporary discoloration after we remove materials. This is normal, short-lived, and will usually correct itself naturally.

Can my project be delayed?

Accepted Answer

Project timelines may be affected by material or labor shortages, weather conditions, or wider national events. We will always work to start and finish your project as quickly as possible. If there are any significant changes to your schedule, we will let you know promptly and reschedule at the earliest available time.

Question 13

Is it possible my decking/sheathing will need to be replaced and am I responsible for the cost?

Accepted Answer

Yes, it is possible. The actual condition of your decking can only be confirmed after tear-off. If any repairs or replacements are required to meet building code, we’ll let you know and provide a rough estimate. For insurance claims, we’ll submit all necessary documentation to your insurance company. If your claim is denied, you will be responsible for those costs.

There are a few shingles not laying flat. Should I be worried?

Shingles need warmth to fully lay flat, which can take a few days. In the meantime, ManePoint Exteriors installs a high-quality underlayment to keep your roof watertight while your shingles settle.
